October 29, 2024 - I gave myself a few months of using this curriculum to give an honest review. I absolutely love this. You're able to pick and choose what to use, if they have mastered it or all ready know the material, super easy to move on or up a grade. So far the only suggestion would be in grade one, the language arts practicing writing letters to make the lower case a in the natural form of a circle and then down instead of how a computer would write it. If needed, searching a simple practice writing page could be found and used instead or cross it out and show the child the easier way. That's what I did.

The Language Arts uses actual literature excerpts that aren't watered down, and the science lessons on predator/prey adaptations actually had my son researching more on his own. There are a few typos that I caught. The curriculum is more like an outline of what your child should know and then you can use other resources to dive deeper. For example they aren't as detailed as I'd like for exponents so I supplemented with other videos. There were a few math problems that I didn't think the answers were correct to my understanding because the wording was a little weird. Overall, it's a good curriculum and a great starting point. - Is this program accredited? No. Accreditation is a form of credentialing that applies to schools. The truth is that homeschool curricula cannot be accredited; only academic institutions can. Accreditation occurs when a brick-and-mortar or a virtual school is reviewed by an accreditation agency, and is said to achieve certain standards. Often, the accreditation process involves self-evaluation by an organization during which it compares its own data and feedback against research-based performance outcomes. Since All in One Curriculum is a curriculum and not a school, it cannot be accredited. However, this curriculum is educationally rigorous and does prepare your high schooler for college. - Is everything included in this curriculum? Do I need to buy additional books? No. All of our curriculum is complete and comes with the reading material and everything you need to homeschool. There may be a few household items needed for science experiments, but those are called out in the Parent Teaching Guide and are easily found around your home.

Most students in sixth grade are usually eleven or twelve years old. Usually, by the end of sixth grade, students should be able to work independently and have good organizational skills. They should be working on possessing more advanced math skills as well. If they are struggling with one or more concepts, it is important to go back and master those skills before moving forward. Sixth grade is such a crucial grade in their learning journey. Sixth-grade students should be able to understand place value, and decimals, be able to write clearly, understand basic concepts about US and World history, should be able to write a story and back up their opinions.

This is my second year using All in One and I am not sure I will continue. Although I enjoy the pdf type of curriculum and how it is organized, I find lots of typos and sometimes incorrect answers. I also don’t like that the parent answer sheet does not include explanations of how to work out problems for Math. It simply just gives you the answer.

While I like the material I think there is area for opportunity with including a step by step in the parent guide for example with math not just providing the answers. My daughter is having trouble with understanding some of the rounding and estimate material and even I am confused how those are the answers so I feel a little defeated with helping my daughter.

A little redundant and excessive work that seems unnecessary
Affordable and time saving for preparation. The only downside is quality of formating Issues. Sometimes my child is fully capable of typing directly into the program and then others he’s not which is frustrating for him.
The suggestion I have and if it is possible, to have more printed information to explain the topic well in each lesson. And also “requesting” to add more pictures/ graphics to spark interest and curiosity of the young student as they read on each topic

the only suggestion I have is to have the books for the reading curriculum as a separate file if people want to print the chapters out and include them or as an option for people to get the books from the library or purchase on Amazon. Printing all of those pages for both grades was a lot of extra pages.
You may see this post more than once. I have bought many individual grades not know if i would like it. However, this curriculum is so easy to follow. My children enjoy most of the lesson, as they have their favorite subject. I love that it is secular. That is important to me. I add my own religious lessons the way I see fit. I will continue to purchase these curriculums until I have them all. I will continue to use them as long as I’m homeschooling my children. I really love it.
We used this curriculum for 3 weeks. There are so many typos and grammatical errors, it is difficult to read. Today, my son was taught that the Agricultural Revolution took place in the 17th and 18th centuries. That is one of several glaring inaccuracies we’ve come across in this curriculum. Not worth the money; especially considering how much it costs to print.

I did want to clarify one point, though. Looking back at Lesson Twelve, the text actually states that the Agricultural Revolution took place “between the 18th century and the end of the 19th century” — not the 17th and 18th centuries as mentioned in the review. It’s possible this was a miscommunication somewhere along the way, or perhaps this was referencing a different part of the material. In any case, the date range as written is in line with how most historians frame the Agricultural Revolution, which is generally placed somewhere between the late 1600s and the 1800s depending on the region and source.
I’d love the chance to make things right. If you could let me know which specific lesson or page prompted the concern, I’m happy to take a closer look and address it directly. We take accuracy seriously and want the curriculum to be something you can trust.

I really like the format, my older two kids can work independently while I work with my littlest two. It gives me the freedom to explore what my kids are interested in and the subjects they need to reach that goal.
I love this All In One Curriculum, it makes homeschooling a breeze. Also easy for any parent new to homeschooling or a pro to understand. I plan to not only use this for my 7th grader but our daughter when she becomes of age.
I was very impressed with the organization of the material. I was also impressed with having everything you need at your fingertips rather than searching all over the place. We purchased the high school packet also and I found the same organization there as well. I have come from a system before of minimal material and really like the style of having all readily available. It’s great to have this in pdf format so you can print only what you want and available to read from a device. Thank you for the work you have done to create this material.

Easy to follow for my child
I appreciate the curriculum is affordable. It truly does help with the day to day, so I’m not racking my brain, but there are areas for improvement. Some of the curriculum, i.e., science experiments, do not provide the why something occurred. For instance, putting magnets in both warm and cold water to see which produces a larger magnetic field is nice, but the curriculum does not state why this occurs. Additionally, scrolling past completed pages to get to the new ones takes time and when I try to print, it does not print the page number provided. In example, if I want to print pages 31 to 35, I actually have to type in page 33 to 37. It would also be helpful that the page numbers printed in an effort to keep track of them. I do appreciate the curriculum very much, however, so thank you.

I also really appreciate you mentioning the science experiments. We try to keep things hands-on, but I totally hear you on wanting more of the ‘why’ behind the results. That’s a great suggestion, and we’ll definitely look into adding more of those explanations in our future updates.
Regarding the printing, I know that can be a little confusing! It’s actually the same for almost all books, whether they are digital or physical. Since the front cover and the copyright page don’t get page numbers, the numbers printed on the lessons will always be a couple of pages behind the ‘file number’ in your PDF viewer. So, if the curriculum says Page 31, you usually have to type in Page 33 to print it.
I know it’s an extra step to keep track of, but checking the viewer number right before you hit print should help you get the right pages every time. Thanks again for your support and for helping us make this better for everyone!
WE absolutely love this program. It is rigorous enough that my child is not bored, but easy enough to use that it makes my life easier. I feel like we’ve tried everything and this has been the best fit for our family.
Great balance of core academics and interesting reading. The excerpts in the LA workbook are challenging but still accessible for a 6th grader. We ended up choosing a different math program as it didn’t work for my student. Hence the 3 stars. Everything else we like.

Language Arts is fantastic. The mix of classic literature and grammar exercises is just right for 6th grade. It feels like a real step up from the elementary years without being overwhelming.

Overall, we like the curriculum. I knocked off 1 star because I found a wrong answer in the parent teaching guide. They wrote me back immediately and fixed it, which I appreciated. I haven’t found any errors since then.

We have been using this curriculum for about a month for my 6th grader. She has been enjoying the lessons. We use all the parts except math (because we already have a math curriculum we like). Her favorite part is the science curriculum because of the projects and experiments. The price is very reasonable, and I love that it has everything needed.
